Christine M. “Tina” McConnell, 61 of Lake in the Hills, died peacefully, April 9, 2018 with her family by her side.
Christine Marie Tokarz was born April 20, 1956 in Chicago, the daughter of Walter and Lillian Tokarz. In 1980 she married Michael McConnell. She worked as a florist for many years. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and sewing. Her greatest joys were being a mom and grandma. She was a devoted wife and mother who will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Michael McConnell, children, John (Lee) McConnell, Rebecca McConnell and Margaret McConnell and by her granddaughter, Madeline Grace. She is also survived by her sisters, Barbara Mierzwinski, Patricia (Steve) Szabo and brother, Joseph (Beverly) Tokarz and by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Michael.
Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-7 p.m. at DeFiore Jorgensen Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley, IL. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. on Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church-10307 Dundee Road, Huntley.
