Kenneth R. Marshall, 80 of Sun City, Huntley, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, April 8, 2018 at his home with his family by his side.
He was born January 20, 1938 in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Charles and Mildred (Smith) Marshall. He grew up in Albion, Pennsylvania and following high school enlisted in the United States Navy. He was united in marriage to Carol A. Fenzel and the couple made their home in Cleveland and then Denver, Colorado, where they raised their family. Kenneth worked as a sales representative for the Foster Grant Company. In the mid 1970’s he was transferred to Chicago where he moved with his family and he retired in the late 1990’s. The couple moved to Huntley in 2010. He enjoyed motorcycling, traveling, family trips, gardening and bingo. He especially enjoyed volunteering and had worked with the Schaumburg and Huntley Police Academy Alumni. Kenneth loved people.
He is survived by his wife, Carol of Huntley, his sons, Kenneth W. Marshall of Downers Grove and Ronald P. (Connie) Marshall of Schaumburg, his granddaughter, Miranda and his brother, Charles (Betty) Marshall of Manchester, Connecticut. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Phyllis Maddy.
A Memorial Gathering will be held from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. with 5:00 p.m. prayers on Wednesday, April 18th at the DeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral & Cremation Service, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley.
