Frank T. Calabrese, 71 of Lake In The Hills, passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Centegra Hospital in Huntley.
He was born June 25, 1946 in Chicago, the son of Anthony and Adeline (Villano) Calabrese. He grew up in Chicago and attended Saint Mel School and graduated from Lake Park High School. He was united in marriage to Sherry Schauer on October 22, 1966. The couple made their home in Carpentersville where they raised their family and he worked part-time as a police officer for Carpentersville and Sleepy Hollow. Frank worked as a mechanic for ComEd for many years, retiring in the mid 1990’s. He moved to Lake In The Hills in 2012. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren, doing word find puzzles, John Wayne movies, westerns, horses and country music.
He is survive by his daughter, Chris Anne (nee Calabrese) (Jason) Glover and their children, Kayla, Zachary, Joshua and Madelyn all of Lake In The Hills, his son, David (Tamara) Calabrese and their children, Amanda, Ashlee, Tyler and Kylie. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sherry and his brother, Joseph.
The family will greet friends at 9:00 a.m. and a Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 20th at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley.
