George J. Corbel, 81 of Huntley, died peacefully, June 7, 2018 at his home with his family by his side.
George was born April 14, 1937 in Chicago, IL the son of George and Esther Corbel. On September 8, 1957 he married Barbara Whitney. He worked in sales and retired as the Vice president of Sales for Ace Coffee Bar. He was an avid golfer, bowler and softball player and also enjoyed boating. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara, his children, Lori Dennison (Bradley Bakka), Robert Corbel (Debora Olson), Diana (David) Beyrer, Jeffery (Jennifer) Corbel, by his grandchildren, Branden (Katie), Danielle (Scott), Alex, (Jamie), Stephanie, Alexa, Jared, Ethan and Makenna, by his great grandchildren, Mason, Madelyn, Madden, Mila, Sofia and Layla.
Visitation will be on Monday, June 11, 2018 from 9:00 am until the time of Mass at 10:30am all at St. Mary Catholic Church-10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to JourneyCare Hospice Foundation-405 Barrington Road, Barrington,IL
