Jack D. Anderson, 75 of Ocala, FL, formerly of Sun City, Huntley, died peacefully, December 21, 2017

Visitation will be on Friday, January 5, 2018 from 9:00am until the time of Mass at 10:00am, both visitation and Mass will be at St. Mary Church-10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Sun City Lions Club or Lions Foundation of Illinois.

Jack was born January 18, 1942 in Chicago, IL the son of William C. and Joline (Guarnery) Anderson. In 1966 he graduated from DePaul University, following college he jointed the family business in 1969 and was the owner and past president of Sears & Anderson, Inc. a Fire Extinguisher Service in Palatine, Illinois. In 1979 Jack joined the Arlington Heights Lions Club and held many positions, he served as District 1F Governor for during 1992-1993. On April 7, 2002 he married Helen Anderson. Jack and Helen moved to Sun City and joined the Sun City Lions, during that time Jack served as President of the club for two terms. When Helen retired they moved to Ocala, FL and joined the Ocala 200 Lions Club which Jack was currently President of the club.

Jack is survived by his wife, Helen, his three children, Matt Anderson, his daughter Rebecca (Vince) Leone, Justine (Heather) Anderson, his grandchildren, Sidney, Anthony, Juliana and Nicholas. He is also survived by Helen’s children, Wendy (Steve) Van Ness, Jerry (Cynthia), Paul and grandchildren, Alex, Brittney, Jack and Zoey.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandson, Alex, brother, and sister-in-law, William C. (Arlene) Anderson.
